Most retirement planning considers that a portfolio will assume to have a static return, such as 8% annually. However, the market does not cooperate with that assumption. Instead CPS uses a method called “Monte Carlo” simulation. This has been used in many business and military planning projects, i.e. The Manhattan Project, the project that produced the Atomic bomb, and business inventory planning.
Rather than assume a static return, the software runs through over 1000 iterations of market activity over the last 60 years. The result is a probability of success that you will live your retirement years in the lifestyle you wish.
